A pre-meeting downpour didn't stop an entertaining 2015 BAGS TRACK CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL from Perry Barr with a Towcester's runners securing a debut win. My personal favourite was the great scenes as the largely unfancied BALLYMAC TURBO for Hall Green's Angie Kibble came home at odds of 12/1. Got to love a win like that.
Some good scoring from selections on this one again allowing for the additional race and the fact that all runners were on a neutral venue so as they say, we should have been 'expecting the unexpected'.
We have an outright round winner in ROSSVILLA who managed to score 82 points, comprising of 6 winners, 1 seconds and 3 thirds. Honourable mentions for the round podium places go to BESTFRIENDS on 77 points and a tie for third between DOGMANDID and TOPDEAL (Lee Gifkins) on 75 points each.
On the NAP and NB bonus front, a somewhat surprising NO winners. I say surprising as 5 of the races were taken by a Favourite of some description though perhaps as suggested many were banking on some bettering their trials or earlier runs.

A good close final with the result not decided until the penultimate race, due to both having made the same selection in the last race.
Well done again to BESTFRIENDS on coming out tops.

Well, the final has been and gone and what a terrific finish to a long, hard year. hearty congratulations to this year's (I don't mind saying) well deserved winner in KAAN13 who has managed to stay top of the table when it counted most.
KAAN13 has led often enough this year but must have had his knees knocking after a wobble last week.
KAAN13 topped the leaderboard on 2049 points with the late surge by BESTFRIENDS seeing the gap closed to just 3 points as she secured second place on 2046 points with TOPDEAL (Lee Gifkins) the 3rd placer on 2041. Well done to all 3 of you a really good scrap there.
Our top 3 managed to come home 31 ahead of the rest though there will be a few hard luck stories as to how or why WE(!!) should have finished further up the tree.
As we all know by now, those NAP/NB bonus points don't come easy but I'm especially glad the outright winner was determined on selections alone with both our leaders having lost their bonus point chances before the end.
Thanks to everyone for both their interest and kind words regarding the running of the comp, I'd just like to thank Lee Calcutt again for his help when I was a bit lost with his magnificent spreadsheet for the endless hours required to maintain all the different elements involved in getting it all right. I'll provide some stats on the comp before the New Year when I get time to dig through it.

Well done to Kaan 13, bestfriends, and topdeal on filling the first 3 places. A pity it's come to the end of the competition as I am a out and out stayer who is just coming to hand. Appreciate the kind words. Big thank you to Toaods who runs this competition brilliantly throughout the year and great fun. Glad to see so many take part and keep it such a good comp. Hope to see you all again playing in 2016! For now, I wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a successful New Year! Let's hope you all get what you wish for.
