I have just spoken to the boys dad and was upset to find that the dog was the boys christmas present last year, its 13 months old and the whole family is upset, the boys dad has put up a £50 reward for information leading to the dogs recovery and i am going to add a further £50 to try and get a reward of such an amount that it will have the scum arrested and taken to court, this could have been any of our sons or grandsons,if anyone wants to add to a reward payable upon conviction please add the amount here.

That's really awful. Poor lad. I feel gutted for him. The one good thing is that it is a very distinctive dog so will be easy to spot. I spend a lot of my life lurcher racing and travelling about to game fairs so I will keep my eyes peeled for this dog. It will probably have been nicked for illegal coursing. I really hope they catch the scum that did this. Vicky x

Its a real tragedy both for the dog and the poor kid-it would be worth trying the greyhound welfare rescues just in case he/she has been handed in Deb rothery at Tia greyhounds is nearest and she takes a lot of lurchers in. Good luck I really hope the dog is soon found.

Have just read this thread and feel really sorry for the lad. I am happy to put another £50 in the reward kitty and hope it has the desired effect!
